High Noon
04:09
|
|||
B. Todaro/Wakeman
High noon, so tense
Back to back, ten steps paced
The town gathers, waiting for the clock to strike
They all know how a duel is won, it’s the end they’ve all come to see
Children watch, it’s a glorious thing
To be gunned down and die in the streets
I hope I make it through the day
And I hope that I don’t fade away
And I hope the duel goes my way and I’m alright
The one thing going through my mind
Is whether I’ll live or die
Now the time has come for me to turn around and fire
Bullets fly and they miss their targets
I pull the hammer back and fire again
The bullet hits him square in the chest as he falls down in the street defeated
I hope I make it through the day
And I hope that I don’t fade away
And I hope the duel goes my way and I’m alright
High Noon’s over, it’s alright
High Noon wasn’t that much of a fight
High Noon’s over and everything’s alright

More Than I Can Stand
03:17
|
|||
B. Todaro/Salonikios
Once upon a time there lived a boy
Who loved his mom even though her life was a lie
One bright day in the middle of the night, this young boy woke up to find
A brand new boy in the arms of his mother, “Say hello Jacob, this is your brother”
I love you more than I can stand
I love you, there is no other
I love you more than I can stand
I love you, there’s no room for another
Down in the thicket as the little boy’s played, the man in black was born and was raised
A thousand years later the smoke remains and vows to end Jacob’s reign
Back to back they faced each other, picked up their swords and shot each other
A thousand years later they both remain; a plane crashed down and changed their game
I love you more than I can stand
I love you, there is no other
I love you more than I can stand
I love you, there’s no room for another
From the devil the smoke was born
If it’s him you won’t know for sure
‘Cause when he comes around he takes a different form
From the devil the smoke was born

Runaway
04:27
|
|||
Wakeman/B. Todaro
You’re crucifying me with those lies
Make a break for the bus stop
Take the green line straight downtown
You’re never far behind
You’re recognizing me in disguise
What else can I do?
Take a train heading any old way
I’m riding straight on through
I’m gonna run away
I don’t care what you say, goodbye
I’m gonna run away
I don’t care what you say, goodbye
You’re paralyzing me with those eyes
Hot on my trail
Surprising me at the terminal
Already out on bail
I’m gonna run away
I don’t care what you say, goodbye
I’m gonna run away
I don’t care what you say, goodbye
You can’t believe everything that you read about me
They won’t let me be
The road is long up ahead yet it’s easy to see
Oh, take it from me
I’m gonna run away
I don’t care what you say, goodbye
I’m gonna run away
I don’t care what you say, goodbye

Hold On
04:06
|
|||
Wakeman/B. Todaro/Manzi
Time, time will never tell if true love can make it in a world so cold
I feel deep inside my heart that this life can get to be so hard alone
I looked into your eyes and saw a reason to believe in love
There, there were things you said, they made me feel alive
Let me in, unlock your door
It seems like so long since you needed me around
Let me in, don’t let go
Oh please, oh please, oh please
Hold On
You, you could never tell that I wished you would be in love with me
Today things are gonna change, I’ll say the things I should have said yesterday
I’ll tell you I love you
(You better hope she loves you too)
I’ll tell you I need you
(I think she needs you to)
I’ll tell you I miss you
(How could she miss you too?)
All these days gone by
Let me in, unlock your door
It seems like so long since you needed me around
Let me in, don’t let go
Oh please, oh please, oh please
Hold On

I'll Never Learn
04:09
|
|||
B. Todaro/Salonikios
Got up yesterday wondering what you would say
Throw all my cares away and I’m feeling a-okay
She grew up all alone, her daddy was always gone
I’d call her on the phone to see if she was home
And she keeps on killing me with her words
And she keeps on making me feel absurd
And she wants more attention than she deserves
And why is it that I’ll never learn
I’m always by her side but when I need her she hides
I often wonder why when I call her up she cries
To pass the day along I sing her my sweet love songs
I’ve been with her so long and I’ve done nothing wrong
And she keeps on killing me with her words
And she keeps on making me feel absurd
And she wants more attention than she deserves
And why is it that I’ll never learn
I feel like I’ve been locked up so long
I feel like I’ve done nothing wrong
I feel like I’ve been locked up so long
I feel like she’s been doing me wrong
Got up yesterday wondering what you would say
Throw all my cares away and I’m feeling a-okay
She grew up all alone, her daddy was always gone
I’d call her on the phone to see if she was home
And she keeps on killing me with her words
And she keeps on making me feel absurd
And she wants more attention than she deserves
And why is it that I’ll never learn

Waking Up
05:47
|
|||
B. Todaro
Floating down this hazy road I go
“Where should I turn” I ask, oh I don’t know
I need a map, a way to guide this this roam
Made up my mind, I’m sure as a stone
The answer to the question everyone has asked
Was answered years ago by a man on the right track
But as all good things come to an end
We all forgot what he said
Waking up I change my mind
Waking up I close my eyes
Waking up I change my mind
Waking up I close my eyes
A sunny day it tries to get you out of bed
Never a care, we listen to what the man said
Pop in a disc, go back in time
Here everything seems just fine
Waking up I change my mind
Waking up I close my eyes
Waking up I change my mind
Waking up I close my eyes

Sally Baby
03:13
|
|||
B. Todaro/Wakeman/Salonikios
Went out Friday night with my girl named Sally Jo
And I said to her, “Where is it you’d like to go?”
To the cinema to see a moving picture show
Or to the ice cream shop for a dish of rocky road
Tell me Baby, what it is you wanna do
Tell me Baby, what it is you wanna do
Cruisin’ ‘round the town in my Chevrolet Bel Air
She looked great that night as the wind blew through her hair
She turned as if to say, “Let’s go park over there”
Up to Lover’s Lane, she blew my mind, she blew my brain
Tell me Baby, what it is you wanna do
Tell me Baby, what it is you wanna do
Tell me Baby, what it is you wanna do
(Baby, what it is you wanna do)
Sally Baby, what is it you wanna do?

What You're Dreaming Of
03:17
|
|||
B. Todaro/Wakeman
Again I’m sitting here in the place where we first met
And I’m thinking about you
But you’re so far away, when are you coming back?
I’m getting so blue
And while we’re worlds apart I still feel I’m with you
And even though I’m not I have the right to think about you
But first I need to know from you…
Baby, when will you tell me?
Tell me what you’re dreaming of
Oh, won’t you tell me
Baby, when will you tell me?
Tell me what you’re dreaming of
Oh, won’t you tell me tonight
I’m waiting by the phone for a call from you, it rings
I’m talking to you
And as our voices meet they recognize each other
As me and you
And as our worlds collide we can’t make one from two
But if we compromise we’ll mend the road on which we travel
And pave a road over the gravel
But first I need to know from you…
Baby, when will you tell me?
Tell me what you’re dreaming of
Oh, won’t you tell me
Baby, when will you tell me?
Tell me what you’re dreaming of
Oh, won’t you tell me tonight
Oh, I am hypnotized
Yeah, I am hypnotized
Oh, I am hypnotized by the way you make me feel

White Lady
04:24
|
|||
Wakeman/B. Todaro
White Lady of mine
You came to me that dark night, a beacon of light
You flew all around
And then you hit the hard ground without any sound
White lady, you’ll see
You can see it through with me, oh, a bride to be
Spoke of love you lost
And there’s no greater cost, you were double-crossed
Horses are pulling you down a long and winding road
The path to you just don’t seem right
You start to question him, “Where are we going?”
As the day turns into night
You come to a dusty halt past the edge of the town
Oh, White Lady
White Lady I know
There’s no better place to go than the hills of covered snow
Your time is now
But I must show you how to pass on
A man in a cloak appears and opens the door
He pulls you out into the night
Into the forest you go, your hands are bound
Starting to see the light
They throw you to the ground and raise the blade
Oh White Lady, oh no

In Flight
04:51
|
|||
B. Todaro/Wakeman
Times are changing as my life comes crashing down
Pack it all up as they’re moving out of town
Everybody has gone so far away
Send me a postcard if you’re coming back some day
Oh, I can’t believe it
The way that life just seems to change
I know they left to try and find it
They never thought that they could stay
What’s so bad about this place we’re living in?
And what’s so great about the places that you’ve been?
I have seen that there’s a way
To stay right here and still be happy every day
Oh, I can’t believe it
The way that life just seems to change
I know they left to try and find it
They never thought that they could stay
I love it here, it feels just right
The crisp fall air, a summer night
More happy than most who took flight
‘Cause they don’t know that they’re already living life
Oh, I can’t believe it
The way that life just seems to change
I know they left to try and find it
They never thought that they could stay
In Flight

Nobody Knows
04:02
|
|||
Wakeman/B. Todaro
Sweet Lydia Moon, she goes to church, sings in the choir
But one time at the park she wasn’t so sweet, started a fire
Little Adam Fogg, he rides his bike all around town
But when nobody’s home he tries on his mother’s gown
And nobody knows, nobody knows
These secrets are kept very well in this town
And nobody knows
Old Mrs. Werth, she volunteers down at the orphanage
But one time out of spite, she took the wheels from Mr. Drake’s carriage
Ronald McCue, he works in town, cuts people’s hair
But when the day is through, he steals from the graves without a care
And nobody knows, nobody knows
These secrets are kept very well in this town
And nobody knows
These secrets we took with us down to our graves
Reflect on the people we were in our day
And nobody knows who we really were
Bartholomew Jones, he owns a shop on the town green
But when he goes out at night, he drinks at the bar until he can’t see
And nobody knows, nobody knows
These secrets are kept very well in this town
And nobody knows

Demon Moon
04:15
|
|||
B. Todaro
Throw your hands up, get out of your bed
Rockin’ Rollin’, she’s docile dead
Wriggle ‘round yourself you’re smoking like a fish
Throw your flag up, there’s no way you can win
With just one look at you they choose your end
All hope for justice gone, the jury’s taking checks
Demon Moon is out, the sky is tinted red
Demon Moon is out, it’s calling for your head
Demon Moon is out, he’s climbing out your bed
Demon Moon is out and you won’t be wed
They don’t care if they find your hat or your broom
They can’t even say for what your punishment’s due
To them you are a witch, they see the devil in your eyes
Demon Moon is out, the sky is tinted red
Demon Moon is out, it’s calling for your head
Demon Moon is out, he’s climbing out your bed
Demon Moon is out and…
While the town is out and running around
Collecting logs to stack and burn you down
Run, run, run, run, run, your feet are pounding the ground
If you don’t make it out they’ll have you gagged and bound
Demon Moon is out, the sky is tinted red
Demon Moon is out, it’s calling for your head
Demon Moon is out, he’s climbing out your bed
Demon Moon is out and you won’t be wed

Moving On
01:25
|
|||
B. Todaro
Within the chaos is
An inner peace unlike you’ve ever known
And as you rise above
Look down and there you see yourself below
And then you realize you’re finally moving on
All pain from life is gone
And what you take with you on earth is known as
Love, Love, Love
And in this loving state is where you’re free
